The Vanguard Alta BH-100 is an Arca-type ball head that has a load capacity of 22.0 lb and can be attached to tripods or other support systems that feature a 3/8"-16 mount.

Cameras or accessories that are compatible with a 1/4"-20 mount can be connected to the included QS-60 V2 Quick Release Plate. The quick release plate can be attached or removed from the integrated clamp located at the top of the head's ball-and-socket joint by tightening or loosening the clamp's knurled, locking knob. Within the recessed surface between the clamp's jaws is a retaining pin. This pin prevents an installed QS-60 V2 Quick Release Plate from accidentally sliding off when the clamp is opened. The HC-28 Horizontal Panoramic Carbon Fiber Center Column System from Leofoto is a 15.75"" carbon fiber extension set that allows an adjustable center column to be added to a tripod without a center column. The rugged but lightweight carbon-fiber column can be rotated a full 360° and tilted 180° from horizontal to fully vertical in either a standard or inverted orientation. One end of the column features a mounting platform with a reversible 1/4"-20 to 3/8"-16 mounting stud and three set screws to securely mount virtually any tripod head and prevent it from rotating. The other end of the column is a weight hook that can be fully rotated so that it can always be facing up to receive a sandbag, equipment bag strap, or other type of ballast.
