The Sirui K-40X Ball Head is an extremely sturdy head with control knobs for pan, tilt, and tension, plus an Arca-style clamp for the included quick-release plate. The pan, tilt, and quick-release knobs are all separate, while the tension knob is integrated into the ball-locking (tilt) knob. The head tilts 90° for portrait orientation. There's also a video pin on the plate to keep camcorders from twisting.

The interior ball locking of the K-40X head has a sphere tolerance of 0.01mm, and it's equipped with an orientation-memory locking dial. This helps yield a high load capacity of 77 lb. The quick-release clamp features a secondary release button that prevents any inadvertent disengagement of the camera/plate from the clamp, thereby adding to the head's overall security and stability. The Arca-style platform conforms to standard sizes, so you can use compatible plates from other manufacturers.

The three control knobs allow a photographer to exercise extremely fine control over the orientation of the camera, whether it's a DSLR, 35mm, medium-format camera, or even a camcorder. Pan, for instance, can be adjusted while the tilt stays locked, enabling precise movement that's measurable – there are degree markers at the panning base for panoramic photography.

The K-40X is CNC-machined from an aircraft-grade aluminum alloy and anodized with an oxidation treatment that ensures a durable, high-quality finish.

The RX series tripods are the largest among the SIRUI tripods. With their high load capacity of 18 to 30kg, they are especially suitable for working in the studio and with large, heavy DSLR and video cameras.

The special feature of the R-2214X is the exchangeable mounting plate. It can be exchanged for the included 75mm adapter half-shell R2X-75A or the also included center column RX-402C. This way, for example, a SIRUI video head can be used on the tripod or the maximum working height can be increased by 38cm with the center column. To facilitate the change between plate and bowl or center column, an Allen key is integrated in the stabilizing hook.

The tubes of the legs are made of 10 layers of carbon, which makes the tripods extremely light but at the same time very stable. Depending on the surface, the non-slip rubber feet can be exchanged for robust stainless steel spikes (included).

The RX series tripods are the largest of the SIRUI tripods. With their high load of up to 25kg, they are particularly suited to working in the studio and with large, heavy DSLR and video cameras. The special feature of the RX series is its removable mounting plate. It can be replaced with the 75mm half ball adapter (and can be used with the optional SIRUI Y-75B levelling half ball). The legs can be swivelled upwards by 180°, so that the tripod is just 33cm high when folded (with head). Each leg consists of 5 sections with 4 sealed ring locks. The rubber feet allow the tripod to stand securely on any surface.

And the 46.5 cm packing size turns into a tripod up to 171 cm tall.

Turn a tripod into a monopod
One leg of the tripod can be removed and used as a standalone monopod. This feature turns the Traveler 7 into a 2in1 tripod that lets you handle any situation. If that is not enough, the monopod with the centre column can even be extended to an incredible 174.5 cm working height (with head).

If you prefer it low, you can also mount the centre column upside down. Your camera has never been closer to the ground!

Stability and intuitive operation
With its non-slip rubber feet and the metal spikes included in the delivery, the tripod stands securely on any surface. For more stability, the load hook on the center column can be loaded with e.g. a backpack. The 4 leg sections can be released and locked again in no time at all using the twist locks (ring locks). Thanks to the soft sponge rubber grips you always have your tripod safely under control. In winter they also serve as protection against the cold.

Compact packing size
The proven 180° flip-over function of the legs also makes this SIRUI tripod a true packing miracle. The Traveler 7 measures just 46.5 cm when packed. The ball head is completely enclosed.

It is equipped with the Safety Lock System to prevent the removable plate from accidentally slipping off. It also has a levelling level and a 360° panorama scale. It is compatible with the Arca Swiss System.
