Offering a wide field of view with minimal distortion, the XF 8mm f/3.5 R WR Lens from FUJIFILM expands the creative possibilities of the ultra-wide-angle image for photographers and content. This lens, equivalent to 12mm in full-frame format, provides an angle of view greater than 120°, allowing users to capture subjects and backgrounds in remarkable detail. Engineered to work with the latest 40-megapixel X-Trans sensors, the ultra-wide focal length delivers sharpness across the frame with the aid of two extra-low dispersion and three aspherical elements to suppress lens aberrations. The rectilinear design minimizes distortion, ensuring vertical lines in a scene stay vertical in the resulting images and video.
Despite its capabilities, the XF 8mm lens remains lightweight and compact, weighing only 7.6 oz. Focusing speeds are improved, with an inner focusing mechanism and low focus breathing, making it suitable for both video and stills. The 62mm filter thread allows for easy attachment of filters, such as NDs or polarizers. The weather-resistant design protects the lens from dust, moisture, and low temperatures.
